The rep from Aptive stopped by to offer us pesticide services this week. The pitch sounded very familiar: mention the names of several neighbors that had signed up, offer a discount for scheduling at the same time, no business cards or brochures, etc. So I looked up Aptive and found out that the company is a reincarnation of Alterra. Alterra is the third Pest Control company that was launched and then sold by the same group of people. I am pretty sure that one of those previous companies came through Fallswood before.
I mention this because, apparently, the group’s real talent lies more in rapid sales growth than in pest control. If you look at the reviews for Alterra or Aptive services in other areas you can see that the quality is hit-or-miss – as if the sales teams routinely promise more than the technicians can deliver.

We used them when we first moved in but have since cancelled. We still had ants and other bugs that did not seem to get any better with them.
